I am a Southern California based artist, hailing from the spooky woods of Maine. My love for nature as well as the dark and macabre play a big role in my creative process. Before tattooing, I worked in may mediums such as graphite, watercolor, oil, pyrography, and embroidery to name a few. After receiving my first tattoo I discovered the cathartic, healing and empowering qualities tattoos give people and decided I wanted to help bring that feeling to others.
When Im not in the shop tattooing, I can be found making personal art, playing video games, exploring nature, collecting rocks and plants, attending art shows and museums, and spending time with friends dissecting the meaning of David Lynch films and the like. |

Born and raised in Santa Ana and currently residing in Lincoln Heights, Los Angeles. I am a mostly self taught artist with a background in illustration and some college (Cal Arts) in graphic design. I redirected my focus to tattooing shortly after high school. Over the next 10 years I worked part time at various tattoo shops throughout OC (Inked Addicts, Sick Made Tattoo, Flesh Pleasures, to name a few) while working full time in the corporate world in business admin / healthcare. Over the years I decided to save enough to support myself while I dive headfirst into tattooing full time. I was able to make this dream a reality in 2020 and worked in a walk-in shop environment for the next two years.
In 2022 I opened Slowpoke Tattoo with my friend and business partner, Rebecca Cole, and we are thrilled to offer our shop as one of the very few Queer and Women owned tattoo shops in OC! Since we've been open it's been a real joy to see the community have a space with us to not only feel welcomed and safe, but celebrated. When I'm not tattooing you can find me out and about, running, being a softball wife, checking out live music, or my personal favorite, spending plain old quality time with my friends and family. |

I've been an artist for as long as I can remember, and creating is something I've always come back to and have needed in my life. I have always been an illustrator, and consistently have had the urge to make the scenes and creatures in my mind become something tangible. Tattooing has always been fascinating to me as it holds such significance in so many cultures throughout the world, both on a larger scale as well as for personal healing. When my apprenticeship started in August of 2018, I knew I would be a tattooer for the rest of my life. As someone who went to school originally for biology and loves science as well, this job is the perfect combination of creativity and experimentation.
I love tattooing anything in color the most, specifically animals, monsters, cryptids and anything strange and abstract. I also enjoy doing fine line designs, script and taking on the challenge of a cover up. There is something to enjoy in every tattoo I make, and I love improving peoples lives with such a sacred tradition. |

I have been drawing since I could hold a pencil. I spent most of my free time as a child drawing, writing, sculpting, or pursuing whatever creative idea caught my attention, and my formal art training began when I was a teenager with almost a decade of extensive art education from master oil painter and pastellist Claudia Post. I attended SMFA in Boston to earn my BFA and a minor in business, and took classes at Massachusetts College of Art and Design. In 2018, after a few years of saving up money working multiple jobs in pet stores, walking dogs, and as a freelance pet portrait artist, I packed up my car and made my way across the country to Orange County with my pet snake riding shotgun. Soon after arriving here, I began working to make my dream of becoming a tattoo artist a reality, and in 2021 completed my apprenticeship and I'm thrilled to bring your ideas to life!
My favorite subject matter has always been animals and creatures of some sort - whether its canines, cryptids, or creatures of my own design. I am heavily inspired by my roots in New England, and am happiest when I get to do dark, spooky work reminiscent of cold autumn nights, old graveyards, haunted houses, and glowing jack-o-lanterns. I'm always excited for the opportunity to freehand a tattoo! When I'm not tattooing, I'm most likely out hiking the canyons and hills, standing at the barricade at a metal or punk show, or on some other kind of adventure. |

Watching Anime and cartoons growing up has greatly inspired me to draw as a child. You'll always find me doodling on my school work. The idea of tattooing was brought to my attention after receiving my first tattoo/ I would never have imagined during my mundane years in college and my sweaty days as a waitress that I would be tattooing right now. I'm grateful and happy to be able to share my art with everyone.
Aside from anime / manga / video games, I also love tattooing girls, feminine subject matter, stuff with lots of color or sparkles, and basically anything pretty and cute! If I'm not traveling, eating, or bothering my cats, you'll usually find me in my PJ's in front of my computer playing games or watching anime in my free time. I like being comfortable and at home. |

My name is Tacho (pronounced Ta-cho), I am a Chinese American tattoo artist that is currently based in Orange County, California. I have been tattooing since February 2019. Before tattooing, I was a motion designer, art student, and barista. In 2019, I completed my Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree at Otis College of Art and Design.I would describe my style as illustrative, while aesthetically inspired by American Traditional and Neo-traditional styles with ranges in levels of cute and roundness. I am currently focusing on improving my illustration skills and style as well as communication to create a welcoming environment for clients within a tattoo studio to celebrate all forms of art.

A Southern California tattoo artist with over a decade of experience, I've been dedicated to the craft since completing my apprenticeship in 2011. While I explored other avenues, the pull of tattooing was undeniable, and I've been fully immersed in this art form since 2016–making this my full time job. As a Latine, queer, and autistic artist, I strive to create a space of community and acceptance through my work. My expertise spans black and grey realism, American traditional, stippling, and illustrative styles, though I'm currently most passionate about developing my illustrative approach and bringing whimsical concepts to life. When I'm not tattooing, you can find me recharging in nature or indulging in my love of film.
